Avery Johnson
My journey into interior design started in the world of fashion. As a leading stylist at Barneys New York, I built lasting relationships with top executive and celebrity clients, helping them refine their personal style. When Barneys closed its doors, many of my clients turned to me because they wanted their homes to reflect the same level of sophistication and individuality we were able to achieve with their wardrobes. That’s when I knew my next chapter was Interior Design.
Travel has always been a huge source of inspiration for me. Whether it’s architecture in Barcelona, visiting French castles, or exploring Thailand, I bring these experiences into my work, creating interiors that feel layered, personal, and timeless.
When I’m not designing, you’re likely to find me at a museum, an art show, or trying a new restaurant—food, art, and great design all go hand in hand.
For me, interior design is about storytelling. It’s about taking the essence of who you are and translating that into a space that feels like home.
